Every so often you come across someone working on an idea that doesn’t fit neatly into a single category—part story, part technology, part experiment in how people connect and make meaning together. This page is a simple attempt to translate and share the work of Luis Miguel Samperio Matilla for a broader audience. What follows is a plain-language overview of a much bigger vision he is developing—one that blends mythology, immersive technology, and community-building into a new kind of narrative experience. While the concepts can be abstract and ambitious, the intention behind them is grounded: exploring new ways to foster coherence, creativity, and connection in both individuals and communities.

Luis Miguel Samperio Matilla is building something that sits between a creative project, a tech prototype, and a social movement. At its core, MadriX euVillage is a vision to transform rural Spain—specifically Tierra de Campos—into a kind of “living metaverse,” a hybrid of real places, mythology, and digital experiences. He combines Don Quixote–style storytelling, European cultural heritage, and emerging technologies like augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and sound/light systems to create a new shared narrative about identity, peace, and community. The centerpiece is “Sancho ArcoIris,” a symbolic AI-powered rainbow cat that acts as a guide; through an augmented reality app, users are “Sanchified,” becoming digital avatars that reflect their emotional state through light patterns and music, functioning both as a game mechanic and a tool for emotional awareness and regulation. The project is already moving toward real-world application through pilot programs with children, institutions, and innovation labs, using immersive experiences to explore how storytelling, technology, and community interaction can come together. Expanding beyond Spain to places like Egypt, it also aims to act as a cultural bridge, ultimately representing an ambitious effort to merge indie game design, experimental science and spirituality, rural development, and transmedia storytelling into a gamified system for personal and collective transformation
